The Summer Solstice 4 miler will be run on the Platte River Parkway. Start/Finish will be located at the end of the Platte River pathway at Bryan Stock Trail road. This event takes place Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. in Lander. In addition to the 5K and 10K runs are: the 1 Mile Walk, 1 Mile or 5K Wheelchair (Team or Solo), 5K Bike for those 12 and under (helmet required), and the 1 Mile Roller blade/Skateboard/Scooter (helmet required).The start and finish is at the Wyoming State Training School. The 25th Annual Pilot Hill 25K Trail run will be held in Laramie on June 28, 2003. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. and climbs to 8,600 feet. There will be five aid stations along the route. The race starts at the end of Willett Drive, east of 30th Street.Race day registration starts at 6:30 a.m. in the Ivinson Memorial Hospital parking lot on the corner of 30th and Willett Drive. The entry fee is $15 for preregistration and $18 for late registration. All participants get a nice t-shirt, course aid and finish line treats. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Overall awards are presented to the top male and female finisher and ribbons to the top three male and female finishers in all age categories.

The 24th Annual Lander Half Marathon will be held in Lander on July 4, 2003. The race starts at 7:00 a.m. with start/finish at Centennial Park by the corner of 2nd and Main Streets. There will be four aid stations along the route. Walkers start at 6:15 am.Preregistration until 5 p.m. on July 2nd with fees of $15. Race day registration is from 6:00 to 6:45 am with fees of $25. Entry fee includes t-shirt. Medals to be awarded to age division places 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Course follows a beautiful rolling loop on paved country roads in the scenic foothills of the Wind River Mountains. Total elevation gain and loss is 640 feet.

The Casper Chase will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2003 marking the start of the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo parade. The 5K road race begins at 9:20 a.m., with start/finish line at 7th & Center streets. The 1K Kids fun run begins at 9:10 a.m., at City Park (Center & 7th streets), with the course on the sidewalk around the park. This 5K race is held at Glenrock (25 miles east of Casper) on Saturday August 2, beginning at 7 a.m., registration from 6:00 to 6:50 a.m. Entry fee is $15 and includes T-shirts. The 23rd annual Klondike Rush 10K/5K run and 5K walk will be held Sat. 9th, at 8 a.m. in Buffalo, WY. A very challenging course, registration/start is at Rotary Park (Garden Creek Falls) and follows Casper Mountain road, finishing at Beartrap Meadow. A couple of water stations will be provided along the course. Start time is 8:30 a.m. Entry Fee: $10 members, $15 nonmembers. T-shirts to the first 30 registered.Course: Starts at Rotary Park at an elevation of 6360 feet. The first 1/2 mile is downhill to Garden Creek road, 6090 feet. From here you will climb 1,800 feet to the finish at Beartrap meadow, 7890 feet.
The Sugar Beet Classic Duathlon will start at 9:00 a.m. near the Powell Recreation Office by the National Guard Armory. The format is a 5K run, followed by a 25K Bike, and finishes with another 5K run. Both individual or teams can compete in the duathlon. In celebration of our club's 20th anniversary we are revisiting an 'old' race course. Washington Park will be the site of this 5K race (three laps around the park). Start time is 9 am with registration by the baseball field.A specially designed t-shirt that features many past races will be given to the first forty registered. Jelm Mountain is located approximately 30 miles west of Laramie in the Medicine Bow mountains. The 11 mile course is an up and back on unimproved roads with start/finish at 7,600 feet and turnaround at 9,656 feet. Five aid stops will be provided. Registration fee is $25 (or $30 day of race) and fee without sweatshirt is $10. Awards to top finishers and door prize drawings.Directions to start: Highway 230 west of Laramie to Woods Landing. Turn south (cross Laramie River) on State Hwy. 10, go three miles to base of Jelm Mountain. There is a sign for the Wyoming Infrared Observatory on the road, this is the start/finish.

This is an event to benefit the Heart Association. A donation is asked (not required) of each runner/walker of $100 by asking for pledges from their contacts. We recommend $10 per pledge so that just 10 contributors for each participant will help up us reach our quota for central Wyoming of $35,000. Location of this years Trot has been changed to Paradise Valley. Race will start on the north side of Paradise Valley Park. (The Kids Fun Run will be a loop at this end of the trail.) The 5K course will be held on the new extension of the Platte River Parkway.Race start time is 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Entry fee is two canned food goods or $5 (To benefit Salvation Army). Various doors prizes will be drawn including a turkey, pumpkin pie, and other fixings. We have had over 100 runners for the Trot the past few years so please plan on arriving early.
To celebrate the completion of this new section of the Platte River Parkway, the Parkway Trust will be conducting a ribbon cutting ceremony prior to the race start. The Parkway Trust will also provide cookies and refreshments after the race.
The Resolution Predict Your Time Two Mile Run will be held on Sunday December 28 at 8:00 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Old Town Family & Amusement Center located behind the Parkway Plaza Hotel. Prize to male and female finishing closest to their prediction. A staggered start will be used with the slowest predicted time leaving the start line first.
