We will be holding a benefit run/walk to raise money to help Bruce, Cindy, Betsy and Tom with the expenses they are incurring as a result of the terrorist attack. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the fund that has been set up at Bank of the West.Registration (and start/finish) is at Old Town on the river next to Parkway Plaza hotel. Registration: $10 for 4 mile run and 2 mile walk, $5 for kids' run with all proceeds to go to the Help from Home fund at Bank of the West. Race day registration only beginning at 8:00 a.m., events start at 9:00 a.m.
The 4 mile run, 2 mile fun walk, 1K kids' run courses are out and backs on the Platte River Parkway.
Refreshments will be provided, door prizes will be given out after the conclusion of the run.

Celebrate the 10th running of The Casper Chase in downtown Casper before the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo Parade on Tuesday, July 11, 2006. The event begins at 8:50 A.M. and consists of a 5K Race, a 1K Kids Fun Run and the addition of a 5K Walk. Cost for the 5K Race or Walk is $20 on or before July 7th and $25 from July 8th through the 11th. The Kids Fun Run is $5. Entry fee includes t-shirts, goodie bags, and post-race refreshments. Awards will be given to the overall male and female in the 5K Race. This event is to remember and honor the eight University of Wyoming Cross Country Runners killed by a drunk driver September 16th 2001. Registration is at the Douglas National Guard Armory starting at 7:30 a.m. with both events starting at 8:30 am. Both the 5K run/walk and the 10K run start and finish at the Douglas National Guard Armory, registration Aug 12th only no pre-registration.The $17 entry fee includes a T-shirt or work-bag, chance for drawing prizes, along with food and beverage at the finish. The proceeds help fund the Shane Shatto scholarship.
Shane Shatto was a well known Douglas High School and U of Wyo student-athlete and a Douglas volunteer firefighter.
