:FYI See www.RTBRelay.com I don't fit your speed criterior, but thought you would be interested in a race I just completed on the Atlantic North East. Looks like we have bragging rights over the length. Good luck.
Hi:
:
: Our Hood to Coast Relay team is in need of 1 female runner (must be able to run a 21 min 5k or 43 min 10k) and 2 male runners (must be able to run a 17 min 5k or 37 min 10k). We are a team primarily from south Florida.
:
: For those of you who do not know, the Hood to Coast Relay (www.hoodtocoast.com) is the World's largest relay race. It is a 198 mile relay race starting at Mt. Hood Oregon and finishing at Seaside Oregon. There are 1000 teams in the race with each team made up of 12 runners/team (each runner running 3 legs in order). Last year, as a mixed team (coed 6 males/6 females) we finished 32nd overall. Of the 31 teams that finished ahead of us, 20 were all male teams including elite sponsored teams.
:
: This year's race is on Friday and Saturday, August 22-23, 2003. Other than the time parameters set out above, there is one other major requirement I must mention. Whoever joins our team must be cool. We are all working stiffs (all professionals), not full-time runners. Fun is first and foremost and running is second. We try to do both things well.
:
: If anyone is interested or knows someone who may be interested, please email me at Dougruns26@aol.com or call me during the daytime at 561 451-8442.
:
: Thank you,
:
